Are you organized, detail-driven, and ready to take the next step in your payroll career? We’re looking for a Payroll Assistant to support our HR/Payroll department in processing timely and accurate payroll for multiple companies within our Group.

Compensation

  • $26 to $28 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.

What You’ll Do

  • Process bi-weekly payroll for multiple companies, including commissions and bonuses.
  • Compile payroll data (garnishments, vacation, insurance, deductions, etc.).
  • Review and reconcile timesheets; ensure hours are properly coded to cost centers.
  • Liaise with supervisors for any missing clock-ins or corrections.
  • Set up and maintain employee payroll profiles.
  • Ensure wage changes, terminations, and other updates are made promptly and accurately.
  • Create and distribute internal payroll reports.
  • Stay current on payroll regulations and follow all internal policies and procedures.
  • Reconcile payroll totals and ensure proper benefit and deduction remittances.
  • Respond to employee and government payroll inquiries.
  • Support the year-end process, including the creation and distribution of T4s.
  • Assist with other accounting or HR tasks as needed.

What You Bring:

  • 1–2 years of payroll experience preferred.
  • Enrolled in or completed Level 1 & 2 of the National Payroll Institute or PCP designation (or working toward it within 2 years).
  • Prior experience in administration or accounting.
  • Strong computer skills, especially Excel, Word, Outlook.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and data entry accuracy.
  • Clear communication and time management skills.
  • A team-player attitude with a readiness to pitch in wherever needed.
