K2 Stone Vancouver, a division of The Hazelwood Group, is seeking a Sales Representative to join the team in Port Coquitlam, BC. This is a full-time, Monday to Friday position. Please note that this is a temporary position with an estimated end date of August 2026.
We’re seeking an individual with a background in retail, particularly in areas like construction, building materials, home renovation, or tool rental, to fill this role. The ideal candidate is someone eager to advance their sales career. Expect a job that demands physical activity and interaction with customers, so being in good shape, comfortable standing for extended periods, capable of lifting at least 30 lbs., and possessing a friendly demeanor are essential. Experience with forklift operation is a bonus, as is an understanding that the role involves both indoor and outdoor work – a little dirt is par for the course!
Based out of the K2 Stone showroom in Port Coquitlam, the Sales Representative will deliver top-notch customer service throughout the sales process, catering to a diverse clientele including homeowners, masons, architects, contractors, and designers. Building positive relationships is key for fostering repeat business.

Compensation
- Base salary ranging from $35,000 to $45,000 per year, contingent on experience and qualifications.
- Commission ranging from 4.5% to 5.5% for gross margin dollars earned at the K2 Stone Vancouver location
Summary
The Sales Representative at K2 Stone Vancouver will undertake daily sales and marketing tasks throughout the designated region, including the Showroom and Storage Facility situated at 1110 – 955 Seaborne Avenue, Port Coquitlam, B.C. Responsibilities encompass customer service, sales, upkeep of the showroom and yard, maintenance, product quality assurance, inventory management, and control. The sales team is expected to meet both individual and collective sales targets and growth aims consistently. This individual holds a crucial role within K2 Stone’s Sales Team, entrusted with enhancing our service standards continuously.
Job Duties
- Attain and consistently improve an excellent working knowledge level of K2 Stone’s products, industry installation standards, product uses and other relevant aspects of the natural stone business.
- Maintains contact with all clients in the market area to ensure high levels of client satisfaction. Uses the company supplied Customer Relationship Management System to track sales pipeline development and customer communication.
- Maintain product presentation and housekeeping standards in all areas of the product showroom in accordance with company policies.
- Ensure excellent customer service by providing information, resolving problems, and answering questions for customers.
- Solve customer problems and respond to customer complaints in a manner that makes K2 Stone’s best interest a priority AND creates good will with customers.
- Creates and conducts proposal presentations and RFP responses.
- Achieve or exceed sales targets.
- Provides timely, accurate, competitive pricing on all completed prospect applications submitted for pricing and approval, while striving to maintain maximum profit margin.
- Attends Trade Shows in rotation with other K2 Stone personnel when requested.
- Provides timely feedback to senior management regarding performance.
- Demonstrates ability to interact and cooperate with all company employees.
- Controls expenses to meet budget guidelines.
- Adheres to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes and ensures that they are communicated and implemented within the team.
- Other duties as required.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years sales experience, or experience in Masonry, Landscaping, Tool Rental, or Building Supply Industries.
- Must have the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Experience in retail sales with exceptional customer service preferred.
- Ability to make excellent sales to achieve performance in alignment with goals and objectives.
- Excellent customer service skills, interpersonal, organizational and communication skills.
- Motivated and creative team player.
- Computer literate with proficiency using basic programs such as Windows and Outlook.
- Strong knowledge of retail sales principles, methods, practices, and techniques.
- Strong problem identification and objection resolution skills.
- Able to build and maintain lasting relationships with customers.
- Exceptional verbal communication and presentation skills.
- Excellent listening skills.
- Strong written communication skills.
- Self-motivated, with high energy and an engaging level of enthusiasm.
