Union rates apply and all benefits are provided through the International Union of Operating Engineers, Local 115.

Compensation

  • $21 to $27.82 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications
  • Vacation pay: 13% of your hourly wage
  • Benefits eligibility: After completing 250 hours
  • Pension contributions: $5.00 per hour worked

What You’ll Do:

  • Set up and manage traffic control zones in compliance with WCB and Ministry regulations.
  • Ensure safety by monitoring traffic flow for both public and construction crew.
  • Inspect and maintain traffic control setups throughout the day.
  • Provide direction and safety information to motorists and pedestrians.
  • Coordinate with TCPs and crew to maintain smooth operations on-site.
  • Assist with skilled manual tasks as required.

What You’ll Bring:

  • 3+ years of experience in construction or paving.
  • TCP Certification.
  • Class 5 Driver’s License.
  • Knowledge of traffic management plans and ability to set up control zones.
  • Ability to operate lane control trucks.
  • Strong communication skills with TCPs, crew members, and the public.
  • Proficiency in using technology (phones, tablets) for dispatch and inspections.
  • Excellent time management and reliability.
  • Physically fit and able to handle the demands of the job.
