We are currently looking for a Civil Marine Estimator with estimating experience in marine or heavy civil projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing detailed cost estimates and budgets tailored to each project’s unique conditions and specifications. The role involves preparing tenders and proposals, analyzing and pricing different construction methods, and identifying cost-saving opportunities.

Compensation
- $90,000 to $150,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications
What You’ll Do
- Prepare detailed cost estimates and pricing schedules for a range of marine and heavy civil projects.
- Develop construction budgets based on plans, specifications, and client requirements.
- Prepare and submit tenders and proposals in a clear, accurate, and comprehensive format.
- Review and interpret project documents, including plans, reports, and geotechnical data.
- Perform quantity take-offs, pricing of labor, materials, and equipment.
- Develop pricing strategies to reflect project risks, conditions, and timelines.
- Provide input and recommendations on methods of delivery and constructability to help maximize project profits.
- Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain pricing and quotes.
- Collaborate closely with the project team to resolve technical questions and pricing issues.
- Maintain up-to-date pricing data and industry knowledge to produce reliable estimates.
What You Bring
- 3–5 years of estimating experience in marine or heavy civil projects.
- Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline is an asset.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar CAD tools
- Familiarity with estimating software and Microsoft Office
- Strong math, communication, and negotiation skills
- Able to juggle priorities and thrive in a fast-paced environment
