As a Lowbed Truck Driver, your primary responsibility will be the safe and timely transportation of heavy construction equipment to and from project sites across Vancouver Island and throughout British Columbia.

Union rates apply and all benefits are provided through the International Union of Operating Engineers, Local 115.
Compensation
- $36 to $38 per hour
- Vacation pay: 13% of your hourly wage
- Benefits eligibility: After completing 250 hours
- Pension contributions: $5.00 per hour worked
What You’ll Do
- Operate Class 1 lowbed trucks with pup and tri-axle trailers
- Load, unload, and secure a variety of heavy equipment, including excavators, dozers, and rock trucks
- Transport oversized and overweight loads while adhering to all provincial regulations
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report maintenance needs
- Collaborate with site supervisors and equipment operators for efficient scheduling and mobilization
- Maintain accurate logbooks, permits, and equipment documentation
- Ensure safety compliance at all times, including load securement and route planning
- Adapt to varying road, weather, and job site conditions
What You Bring
- A valid Class 1 Driver’s License
- Minimum 3 years of experience hauling heavy equipment on lowbed trailers
- Clean Driver’s Abstract
- Experience with pup and tri-axle trailers
- Strong understanding of load securement, oversized load transport, and BC highway regulations
- Professionalism, reliability, and the ability to work independently
- Solid communication skills and a team-focused attitude
