Union rates apply and all benefits are provided through the International Union of Operating Engineers, Local 115.
Compensation
- $31.92 per hour
- Vacation pay: 13% of your hourly wage
- Benefits eligibility: After completing 250 hours
- Pension contributions: $5.00 per hour worked
What You’ll Do
- Haul construction equipment, materials, and machinery safely across Vancouver Island and BC.
- Operate Class 1 vehicles with pup and tri-axle trailers.
- Conduct daily pre/post-trip inspections and handle basic maintenance reporting.
- Follow all safety protocols, traffic laws, and company procedures.
- Work with site supervisors to ensure on-time, efficient project delivery.
- Keep clean and accurate driving logs and documentation.
- Secure loads and ensure proper weight distribution.
- Be prepared to work in changing weather and site conditions.
What You Bring
- A valid Class 1 Driver’s License.
- At least 3 years of professional driving experience (pup and tri-axle trailers required).
- A clean Driver’s Abstract.
- Solid knowledge of load securement and highway safety.
- Great communication and a collaborative mindset.
